Free agent James McFadden is training with Wolverhampton Wanderers after being released by Birmingham when his contract expired this summer.
The 28-year-old Scottish international has not played a competitive match since damaging his cruciate knee ligaments 13 months ago in a game for Blues against Liverpool.
Birmingham had hoped to renegotiate his terms on a contract extension following relegation from the Premier League, but a deal could not be reached between the two parties.
