Chris Hughton has praised SC Braga’s European pedigree and proud home record, but is hopeful Birmingham City will come away from this evenings game in Portugal with a result.
Speaking to the official club website he said:”With only two games left we’re now very much in the pivotal moments of the competition in this group.
“Of course we know that Braga are a very good side with European pedigree and that they also have an impressive home record over the years, so I think this is going to be our sternest test.
“Braga are quite rightly the favourites for the game, and are the home side.
“But that doesn’t mean we can’t take the confidence gained from our last couple of games into the match and hopefully come away with a result.
“We’ve got a big series of Championship games coming up, notably Cardiff away on Sunday and then Hull on Wednesday, so it’s a little bit of a release actually to play in this game.
“It’s a different type of game in a magnificent stadium and a different feel in Europe and it’s welcome.”
