Curb Your Enthusiasm

Birmingham City’s short list of managerial candidates became a little shorter after Alan Curbishley revealed that he no longer had the enthusiasm to be considered for the St Andrew’s hot seat.

Curb Your EnthusiasmThe former Blues midfielder who has managed at Charlton Athletic and West Ham United pulled out of the race after meeting representatives of the football club.

Curbishley has been out of football since resigning from his position at Upton Park in September 2008 but has been linked with roles at Wolverhampton Wanderers and West Bromwich Albion in recent months.

The Birmingham Mail understand that former Huddersfield manager Lee Clark is now the hot favourite to fill the vacancy at St Andrew’s left by Chris Hughton’s defection to Norwich City.

I never expected Curbishley to come. Think he would expect more than we
can currently offer!…on to the next one. Keane or Clarke??, not massively
on the side of either to be honest, as long as it isn’t Phil Brown ill back them!.

80% of the job detail is in the public domain, so for Curbishley to approach and then reject the club, there must be something pretty significant in the information which IS NOT in the public domain. Could be even worse than we had anticipated.

Disappointed to see how my favorite club since 1968 has “limped’ to the point of despair yet they have risen to incredible heights with their membership in the Premiership, that superb Carling Cup win and Europa League.

Meanwhile I am researching the “Victorian Blues.” What a club history they have.
