DY8 State 3 Samson and Lion 7

Oh sorry, I forgot. All traces of pride were foresaken sometime just before last Christmas and the State proceeded to prove it in the second half. As Ron Atkinson might say, 'It all went humpty-dumpty at the back'. Some indecisive defending gifted the Samson and Lion with at least one goal prompting Legs' (quite justified) criticism of his team-mates. Johnny Mac, perhaps sensing he is too far behind the Thrill in the race for the golden boot to win it, made an early claim for own goal of the year, unluckily diverting the ball past a stricken Legs.
